This large, semi-rural garden lies between the vineyards of the Klein and Groot Constantia wine farms. Keeping the structure of the garden extremely clean and simple allowed me to create a planting scheme, which by contrast, is wild and loose. The result is a unique blend of drama, romance and tranquillity. The feature of this garden is a large sweep of stylized meadow planting which frames an immaculate sunken lawn. To evoke a sense of rural countryside, areas of paving have been randomly planted and banks of seeded grass left un-mown.
